Everything is simple. Enlightenment is simple. Mindfulness is simple. Happiness is simple. It is we who complicate things. This is the basis for most Zen and Taoist proverbs. Still, the student fails to understand. Simplicity. That’s all there is to it.

Midnight air

The fresh and subtle scent of the midnight air has a nostalgic flavour to it. Especially during the summer. It smells of peace, silence and melancholy. I love this moment. In between exhaustion and hypomania. Where everything stands still. I just wish it was more than a moment. I just wish I could sleep lol
